The Company was founded in July 2017 and soon bought over the flight school – Apex Flight Academy and Potch Flight Academy (previously known as Mariannair). Bucephalus Air is named after the Stallion Bucephalus of Alexander the Great, king of Macedonia and one of the greatest military commanders in history. Bucephalus was a magnificent horse whose breeding was said to have been of the “best Thessalonian strain”. Bucephalus is described as a large black horse with a large head resembling an Ox-head. Alexander rode Bucephalus into many of his battles and together they conquered most of the known world. As Bucephalus Air, we are aiming to provide you with the best service, training and the best instructors. We will train you to not just be a ‘good’ pilot but to be the ‘Best’ pilot you can ever be!
