Meet Monique Terblanche
Founded by Monique in 2017, she proudly serves as the Director of Flo-Tek, and it’s been quite an exciting journey for her. The most fulfilling part of her job is building relationships with people and nurturing connections with their valued customers. Over the years, Monique has become adept at multitasking and her trusty diary is indispensable, and always close by, in order for her to jot everything down to ensure she stays on top of things. Her colleagues would describe her as dedicated, approachable, and a team player.
Don’t be fooled by her dainty appearance. When she’s not at work, you can find her out in nature, indulging her passion for hunting. In addition to hunting, she had anything that involves speed, so it’s no surprise that the Fast and Furious movies is one of her favourites.
Meet Lené Kotze
Having had the privilege of being a part of Flo-Tek for the past six years, Lené Kotze has grown on both a personal and professional level. She is the current Accounts and HR Manager, where she oversees both the financial operations and human resources functions. “What I find most fulfilling in my role is the accounting aspect. I have a natural inclination towards numbers and enjoy the analytical challenges that come with financial management. I love to solve complex problems and ensure financial accuracy.”
Lené’s go-to productivity hack involves immersing herself fully in her tasks and maintaining focus until completion. “I prioritise starting with easier tasks to build momentum and then tackle more complex challenges.” With this being said, her colleagues would describe her as analytical, meticulous, and approachable. Although she is goal oriented, she also strives to maintain a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and understood.
A fun fact about Lené is that she has a deep passion for reading. “I love immersing myself in different worlds and getting lost in the lives of diverse characters.” Her favourite book series would be ‘The Mortal Instruments’ by Cassandra Clare. Although she is more of a reader, she does have a few favourite movies as well, which includes ‘Practical Magic’ and ‘Me Before You’.
Meet Divan Kotze
For the past four years, Divan has been a loyal employee of Flo-Tek North West. He is a Sales Representative and also responsible for the Counter Sales for the company. The one aspect he enjoys the most about his job is the fact that he gets to meet new people on a daily basis. He also enjoys building relationships with customers and seeing that relationship grow and strengthen.
Divan’s go-to productivity hack is something he likes to call time blocking. He sets specific time slots to put his head down, and remains focused on productivity. “There will be a time slot to do follow-ups, admin or set up meetings if there are any. This helps me to stay on track and not waste time that could be spent on important tasks.” Divan considers himself a very outgoing person who likes to make jokes and laughing is definitely his choice of serotonin. Apart from being outgoing, his colleagues would also describe him as humorous and collaborative. Divan is another fan of the Fast & Furious franchise, “I remember watching the first movies with my brother as kids, and is just brings back so many happy memories.”
Meet Kobus Crafford
Kobus works in Internal Sales, meaning he converts pre-qualified leads and generates new business with existing customers. Kobus has been with the company for two years already, and when asked about what he enjoys the most about his job, he answered:
“What I enjoy the most about my work is the opportunity to meet new people and face fresh challenges every day. Being in internal sales, I get to interact with a diverse range of individuals, which keeps my job dynamic and engaging. Each day brings new challenges, and I thrive on finding creative solutions and strategies to overcome them. This constant variety keeps me motivated and ensures that there’s never a dull moment in my work. Additionally, I love the sense of accomplishment that comes from helping customers and contributing to the success of our team.”
Kobus’ secret to success is that he sets clear, prioritized goals at the beginning of each day. This helps him stay focused on the most important tasks and assists him in managing his time effectively. He also takes short breaks to recharge, ensuring that he stays productive throughout the day.
A fun fact about Kobus is that he loves being in the kitchen and making food. “It calms me, and I enjoy it when people appreciate my cooking.” Although he’s not an avid reader, he enjoys watching a good war or action movie. His colleagues describe him as motivated, joyful, and a people’s person.
Meet Bronwen de Kock
Bronwen is Flo-Tek’s Buyer and Stock Controller, and has been with the company for the past seven months. She enjoys learning something new everyday, and her go-to productivity hack is to not procrastinate. Her colleagues describe her as the quiet, funny one on the team. She likes to play lawn bowls and if there’s a project that needs DIY-ing, Bronwyn’s your girl. As the saying goes, still waters run deep; her favourite movies are The Green Mile and Top Gun.
Meet Fish
Fish is one of Flo-Tek’s warehouse staff, and his duties include picking, packing, and loading. He has been with the company for the past four months and he enjoys getting tasks done without any mistakes. His secret to maintaining productivity is listening to music, as this helps him get rid of any distractions. Fish’s colleagues would describe him as a talkative, fun, and caring person. He is a man of many talents, as he is also pretty good at soccer and dancing. Two of his favourite movies are Transformers and Apocalypto.
Meet Seun
Seun is one of Flo-Tek’s warehouse employees, and oversees customer service, receiving, and loading as well. He has been with the company for nearly a year, and he says it makes him a better person; “it helps me to provide for my family, and that gives me joy”. Seun likes working and when someone works just as hard as him, it’s an added bonus. His colleagues describe him as a cool guy, good and overall happy person. He enjoys movies, and his favourite by far, is Money Heist.
Meet Harry
Meet Harry, one of Flo-Tek's dedicated drivers who ensures timely and safe deliveries every day. Harry is known for his exceptional driving skills and commitment to customer satisfaction. His friendly demeanor and reliability make him a favorite among clients and colleagues alike. When he's not on the road, Harry enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His dedication and passion for his job make him an invaluable member of the Flo-Tek team.
