On Friday, 6 September, Flo-Tek hosted its highly anticipated Spring Day, bringing together 18 businesses for a day filled with camaraderie, friendly competition, and giving back to the community. Of the 18 participating businesses, 14 competed in the Potjiekos Competition, which turned out to be the highlight of the event.
The Potjiekos Competition was fierce, with each team vying to create the most delicious potjie. In fact, even before the competition officially kicked off, most of the bowls had already sold out, demonstrating the popularity of the food on offer. By the end of the day, Flo-Tek and AVK shared first place in the competition, with both teams’ dishes earning high praise from the judges and attendees alike.
Exciting Prizes and Support for Charity
Beyond the delectable potjiekos, there were numerous prizes up for grabs for those who spent R1 or more. The lucky draws featured an impressive array of prizes, including a 1000-liter water tank, several biltong hampers, a bottle of gin, a bottle of whisky, and plenty of vouchers and hampers. These prizes added extra excitement to the day, ensuring that everyone had a chance to walk away with something special.
What truly made the event stand out, however, was its charitable focus. All proceeds from the day were donated to the Robin Hood local charity, ensuring that the fun-filled Spring Day also contributed to a meaningful cause. This blend of entertainment and community support made the day even more rewarding for everyone involved.
