School News: Weekly Highlights
Tokkies Break Records at Prestige Athletics Meet: Tokkies athletes delivered stellar performances, with Alrike Hattingh setting new records in the U-13 1500m (5:03.95) and 800m (2:25.02). Stéphan Terblanche also set a new high jump record at 1.64m. Hattingh Möller and Stéphan Terblanche were named top athletes.
Volkies Matrics Shine at District Awards: Volkies’ 2024 matric class was honored at the Dr. Kenneth Kaunda Matric Excellence Awards. Leanel Brooks (English First Additional Language – 93%), Zanique Krauze (Life Orientation – 98%), and Danica Jonker (Tourism – 94%) were top achievers. The school also placed in the district’s Top 5 with a 98.7% pass rate!
Ferdies' Angelique Stapelberg Excels in Archery: Angelique Stapelberg, a Grade 11 learner from Ferdies, completed her Basic Archery Instructor Assistant course with distinction, enabling her to train and mentor others in the sport.
PCS Announces Leadership Group 1: Potchefstroom Central School introduced its first leadership group for 2025, a team of students set to develop essential leadership and teamwork skills over the next six weeks.
