The university's Opera Ensemble and Choir received the Best Achievement in Classical Music award at the kykNET Fiësta Awards, while its commitment to green energy earned it the Renewable Energy Initiative Award from the Higher Education Facility Management Association of Southern Africa (HEFMA).
