Vaal de Sioleh is situated 20 km outside the beautiful town of Parys, in the Free State Province. About the same distance in the opposite direction you will find Potchefstroom, another history rich town in the North – West Province.

The Fishing
It is also the ideal place to stay for yellow-fish enthusiasts, for a more sophisticated way of fishing, called fly fishing.
Little do people realize the intimate experience it becomes when standing in the water sometimes waste depth and casting your floating line out into the running rivers rapids and hooking onto a river living fish.
Yellowfish are not the only fish found here to be caught, you can run into mudfish, large and small mouth yellowfish, barbel, moggel and carps.
Each of these are caught differently and put up their own kind of fight, taking you through the shallow flowing waters of the open Vaal.
Make sure to take proper boots for wading in these waters as some rocks might catch you by surprise and lots of flies.
The Wedding Venue
A thatched-roof chapel on the premises, set right on the banks of the Vaal River makes it one of the best wedding venues in the area, the windows look out over the Vaal River, providing a very romantic setting for your big day and housing an immense 140 guests.
The guests can utilize the accommodation available on the premises, or even drive back to one of the towns as it is perfectly located.
The amazing scenery surrounding Vaal De Sioleh also makes some of the best wedding photos, an add on to keep the newly wedded wife happy when you surprise her with stunning photos of your special day.
