About the Position:
Are you a social butterfly with a passion for storytelling and social media? The Go-To Guy is looking for an enthusiastic student in Potchefstroom to join our team to cover social events in and around Potchefstroom.
In this exciting role, you'll cover a variety of social events, from church bazaars to live music performances, engaging with attendees, capturing the moment through videos, and sharing stories across our social media platforms and website.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Coverage: Attend various social events in Potchefstroom and surrounding areas, often during evenings and weekends.
Content Creation: Capture and create engaging content, including live social media broadcasts, video footage, and written stories for our website.
Interviews and Engagement: Conduct interviews with event attendees and stakeholders, telling compelling stories that resonate with our audience.
Social Media Management: Post and manage content on our social media channels in real-time, ensuring a lively and interactive presence.
Requirements:
Student Status: Currently enrolled at a university or college in Potchefstroom.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using video equipment, social media platforms, and basic editing tools.
People Person: Enjoys mingling, socialising, and engaging with diverse groups of people.
Flexible Schedule: Available to work evenings and weekends as required.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Own Transport: You will require your own transport to cover the events in and around Potchefstroom
