Catherine Saint Jude Pretorius, known professionally as Dope Saint Jude, is a dynamic South African rapper, singer, songwriter, and music producer. Her journey in music began in the vibrant streets of Cape Town, growing up in Elsies River. At the tender age of 12, she taught herself to play the guitar and started weaving her thoughts into poetry, setting the stage for her unique brand of hip hop.

In November 2018, she released her second EP, "Resilient," a collection that resonated with audiences worldwide. The EP's lead single, "Grrrl Like," released in October 2018, gained significant traction, featuring in various media including the Apple TV show "Dickinson," the Netflix anime "Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts," a car manufacturer's advert, and the trailer of Netflix’s South African original series, "Blood & Water." The song's influence extended to the cinematic world, being featured in the movie adaptation of the graphic novel "Nimona."

April 2022 marked another milestone in Dope Saint Jude's career with the release of her third EP, "Higher Self."
