A Star is Born
Ramaine’s story begins in Cape Town, where, at just 5 years old, she was already performing with a live band on the nightclub circuit. By the time she was 9, she had landed her first major role in the production ‘Bugsy Malone’. But wait, there’s more! At 12, she joined forces with Emo Adams, Alistair Izobell, and Luqmaan Adams to form the group ‘Nu Fancy’. This group toured across the country alongside The Rockets and PJ Powers and even recorded an album.
The South African Tina Turner
Known as the ‘Tina Turner’ of South Africa, Ramaine founded RBL Productions in 2005 and has since become a creative powerhouse. Her versatility means she effortlessly performs genres like R&B, Jazz, and Rock 'n Roll. And as if that’s not enough, she also shines in character performances, choreography, stage production, and costume design.
A Passion for Young Talent
Ramaine isn’t just an incredible performer with powerhouse vocals and a dynamic stage presence; she’s also deeply passionate about mentoring young artists. This led her to establish the RBL Productions Youth Theatre Development Project. With her unique ability to recognize and develop creative talent, she has built a strong reputation as a director, producer, and choreographer for numerous productions locally and internationally.
