Herman's talent extends beyond magazines. His first cookbook, "VOORSKOOT," was published in 2013, followed by several others, including "NÓG 'N VOORSKOOT," "IN MY KITCHEN," and "30," which marked his 30th birthday.
However, it was his 2019 cookbook "DIT PROE SOOS HUIS" that truly captured the hearts of readers. The book, a tribute to his mother and filled with nostalgic family recipes, became the best-selling Afrikaans cookbook of that year.
