Today, the Emmie learners had a first-hand experience of democracy in action. The excitement was palpable as each Grade 7 class introduced their party and presented their campaign intentions and manifestos to the entire school.
Voting Process
After the presentations, every Emmie learner had the opportunity to exercise their right to vote. They carefully considered each party's platform before drawing their cross next to the class they believed best represented the school's interests.
Counting the Votes
Now, the votes must be counted and verified by the IEC (Independent Emmie Committee). Once the process is complete, the results of the election will be announced. The Grade 7 class with the most votes will get the unique opportunity to dethrone our Principal, Mr. Heyns Deacon, for one day. On this special day, their intentions and requirements will be put into effect at the school.
A Memorable Experience
This election has been a memorable experience for our learners, teaching them the value of participation and the democratic process. We eagerly await the results and look forward to seeing the winning class implement their ideas.
