Potchefstroom - There was much to celebrate at Potchefstroom Gimnasium as they received exhilarating news on Friday, 6th October. For the fourth time, the Department of Education has recognized them as the best quintile 4 school in South Africa.

Understanding School Quintiles:

What does it mean? As per the National Norms and Standards for School Funding, public schools are categorized into five groups, known as quintiles. The primary purpose is to allocate resources from the state. Schools are divided based on the financial capabilities of the community they serve. Public schools that charge school fees fall into quintile 4 or 5.
