On the 3rd of August, the young riders of Volkies High School showcased their talents at the eagerly anticipated mountain biking event held at the school grounds. The competition drew a crowd, with participants and spectators eager to witness the burgeoning talents in the under-14 and under-17 categories.
Exceptional Performances in the Sub-Junior and Youth Men Categories
The 0/14 Sub Junior category was a thrilling spectacle, with Volkies own Alex Fourie clinching first place with remarkable skill and endurance. Phillip Moodie followed closely, securing the second position, while Hannes Malan and Dian Scholtz finished strongly in seventh and eighth places, respectively.
The 0/17 Youth Men category saw Reuben Jonker fight hard to earn a respectable seventh place, demonstrating determination and resilience. Hanco Swart, another promising talent from Volkies, managed to secure the 26th spot amid a competitive field.
