First aid training is not just for paramedics and lifeguards. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, security officer, or just someone who wants to be useful in an emergency, knowing what to do when things go wrong can make all the difference. That’s why EPSA is offering an Accredited First Aid Training - Level 1 course in Potchefstroom this April.
When and Where?
Mark your calendar for 1-2 April 2025. The training will take place at Kumkani Country Lodge, 37 Parys Ave, Baillie Park, Potchefstroom, North West. It runs from 08:00 to 16:00, so be ready for a full day of hands-on learning.
What’s on Offer?
For R1250 per person (excluding VAT), participants will receive:
Learning materials (Learner Guide and Assessment Guide)
Refreshments and a light lunch (because learning on an empty stomach is never a good idea)
Assessment costs (so you can actually get certified)
An electronic certificate 4-6 weeks after completing the course
Who Should Attend?
This course is open to anyone who wants to learn first aid. Whether you need to be OHS compliant for work, want to be prepared for emergencies at home, or just have a general interest in first aid, this course is for you.
Employers who need to train multiple staff members are also welcome. The course is aligned with Unit Standard 119567, offering 1 NQF credit.
Why Take This Course?
Emergencies happen when you least expect them. This training equips participants with basic life support and first aid skills to help stabilise patients before professional medical help arrives. Whether it’s CPR, wound management, or handling a medical emergency, the knowledge gained could help save a life.
