The third Bult Oktoberfest took place on the 12th of October at Cachet Park, drawing crowds for a day filled with vibrant energy, good music, delicious food, and plenty of beer. Festival-goers embraced the sunny skies and high temperatures, coming together to enjoy one of Potchefstroom’s most anticipated events of the year.
"It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt"
The day was packed with fun activities, including exciting games where participants could test their skills. Team Tequila claimed victory in the Barrel Roll and Hammerslagen competitions, taking home the gold medal. Micayla Niemack and Sergio Jardim emerged as the winners of the Wurst Toss, adding to the spirited atmosphere. In addition to these, there was a Beer Belly contest and a competition for the best dressed, keeping attendees entertained throughout the day.
Music for all tastes
The music lineup was just as impressive. The main stage featured top acts like Jay, Robbie Wessels, and the Sousaphonics Oompah Band, while the Jägermeister stage hosted crowd favorites such as Timo ODV, Chunda Munki, and the Jägermeister Brass Cartel. The artists kept the energy high from early in the day until late in the evening, ensuring the festivities never missed a beat.
Despite the hot weather, festival-goers turned out in large numbers, soaking in the lively atmosphere of the long-awaited Oktoberfest. As the event concluded, attendees were already looking forward to next year’s edition of this popular celebration.
Here’s to more music, games, and fun at the next Bult Oktoberfest!
