Potchefstroom is gearing up for an epic Oktoberfest celebration, and this year’s Bult Oktoberfest is set to deliver a day packed with top-notch performances, tasty German treats, and a lineup of games that’ll keep everyone entertained. Hosted by The Rotary Club of Potchefstroom Mooi and Impala Potchefstroom, this is going to be one lively event.
When and Where?
Mark your calendars for Saturday, 12 October 2024. The festival will take place at Cachet Park in the Bult, Potchefstroom. Gates open at 11:30, and the fun won’t stop until the clock hits midnight.
Music Lineup: Two Stages, Double the Fun!
For music lovers, there are two stages to keep an eye on: the Main Stage and the Jägermeister Stage. Here's how the day’s entertainment breaks down:
Main Stage Highlights:
Stefan Ackerman kicks off the day at 12:15, followed by Mari Minnaar and Sousaphonics, who’ll bring their lively tunes at intervals throughout the day.
Headliner Robbie Wessels takes the stage at 22:00, just before Chunda Munki closes the show at 23:00.
Other local favourites like Jay, Johan Loots, and Veervol will also be performing, alongside the ever-festive Jägermeister Brass Cartel.
Jägermeister Stage:
If you prefer DJs, the Jägermeister stage is where you’ll want to be. DJ Connor starts at 14:00, with TIMO ODV hitting the decks at 21:00, followed by DJ Kindrum to end the night.
Expect a stellar mix of house, electro, and party vibes from other top names like DJ Matty P, DJ Dwayne, DJ Get Loud, and Lucidity.
What’s to Eat and Drink?
It wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without some good old-fashioned German fare. Expect to chow down on Eisbein, Bratwurst, Currywurst, Schnitzel, and Pretzels, all while washing it down with refreshing German beer. The SAB Gig Rig will keep the taps flowing, and if you’re in the mood for a more exclusive experience, head to the VIP Beer Garden.
Games, Contests and a Whole Lot of Fun
