It’s time to dust off those padel rackets and get ready for a bit of action on the court! The Gimmie's are calling on the community to help some talented Gimmie dancers take their skills to the international stage. How? By playing a few rounds of padel, of course!
Padel “Americano” – A Fun Start to February
The fundraiser kicks off with the Padel “Americano” event on 1 February 2025 at Techno Padel, Potch Country Club. This one’s for the youngsters, with two separate categories:
Primary kids: 07:30
High school: 09:30
Entry is R200 per person, and every rand goes towards helping these dancers achieve their dreams. There are also some great prizes up for grabs, including pamper hair vouchers (worth up to R1500) and delicious meal vouchers. No one leaves empty-handed!

Valentine’s Padel Mix – Bring a Date or a Mate
For those looking for something a bit more social, the Padel “Valentine’s Mix” Americano event is set for 14 February 2025, from 17:30 to 20:30. Same place – Techno Padel, Potch Country Club – but this time, it’s a doubles event.
Game only: R550 per couple
Game + picnic basket: R800 per couple
Forget candlelit dinners – what better way to bond than by smashing a few balls over the net and possibly winning a holiday for four to Falcon Glen Hot Springs (30 June – 4 July)?
Again, WhatsApp Buks to secure a spot. Mention your names and whether you’re opting for the game only or the picnic basket option. Payments can be made upon arrival – card and cash are accepted.
