A Gathering for Homeschooling Families
Homeschooling families, mark your calendars! On 7 March 2025, the Generations Homeschool Conference is coming to Potchefstroom, featuring Kevin Swanson, a well-known advocate for homeschooling and family discipleship. The event will take place at Nederduitse Hervormde Kerk Potchefstroom Noord, 15 Hennie Bingle Street, Van Der Hoff Park. It runs from 14:00 to 19:00 and is open to all who are interested in education from a biblical perspective.
Who is Kevin Swanson?
Kevin Swanson is no stranger to the homeschooling world. A second-generation homeschooler himself, he and his wife, Brenda, have been homeschooling their five children since 1991. With 55 years of experience in the movement, he has served as Executive Director of Christian Home Educators of Colorado and is currently the Director of Generations, a ministry aimed at strengthening homeschool families.
Swanson is also a published author with more than 30 books to his name, including Upgrade - The 10 Secrets to the Best Education for Your Child, The Proverbs Bible Study Guide Series, and Preparing the World for Jesus. In addition to his writing, he has been the host of Generations Radio for over two decades and is a recognised speaker on Christian education and family discipleship.

Family Conference – 8 March 2025
Following the Homeschool Conference, the Family Conference will take place the next day, 8 March, at the same venue. Registration begins at 8:00, with the event running from 8:30 to 17:15. The focus will be on strengthening Christian families and raising children with a biblical worldview.
