Hello Sushi is bringing a slice of Korea straight to Potchefstroom! For two days, on the 15th and 16th of November 2024, locals and visitors can immerse themselves in the flavours, sights, and sounds of Korean culture. This isn’t your usual weekend festival; it’s a full-on Korean experience, without the 13-hour flight.
When and Where?
The event kicks off on Friday, the 15th of November, from 16:00 to 20:00, and continues all day on Saturday, the 16th of November, from 10:00 to 20:00. It’s all happening at the Christian Fellowship Church, located at 2-12 Wolmarans Street. For just R50, you get a weekend pass, giving you full access to the festival on both days.
What’s On the Menu?
If you’ve ever wondered what real Korean food tastes like, this is your chance! Authentic Korean food stalls will serve up classics like spicy chicken wings, noodles, and dishes that you’ve probably only seen in K-dramas. This isn’t just a meal; it’s a flavour adventure.
Things to Do – Korean Style
Besides the food, there’s a whole lineup of activities for everyone. Test your skills in the Korean game zone or watch the taekwondo demonstrations if you’re in the mood to see some action. And yes, K-Pop fans, there’s a dance show just for you! Not quite ready to dance yourself? There’s also a photobooth where you can dress up in traditional Korean attire and snap a few memories.
