MEG Security is celebrating big this year! For 20 years, they’ve been ensuring the safety of the community, and now they’re marking two decades of excellence with a full MEGA Week of activities from 14–19 November 2024 in Potchefstroom.
MEG Celebrity Golf Day
Kicking things off on Thursday, 14 November is the MEG Celebrity Golf Day at the Potchefstroom Golf Club. Registration opens at 08:00, with tee-off from 10:00 to 15:00. For those who want to show off their golf skills, it’s R3,500 for a four-ball team. And this won’t just be any golf day – former Bafana Bafana captain, Aaron “Mbazo” Mokoena, is hosting! It’s the perfect chance to hang out with a sports legend and maybe pick up a few golf tips.
Safety & Security Expo
For those interested in the latest in security technology, there’s the Safety & Security Expo, running from 14 to 19 November at the Madiba Banquet Hall. The expo is open every day from 10:00 to 15:00, making it ideal for anyone looking to see what products and services are available to enhance their security.
SASRIA Workshop
Event Security On Friday, 15 November, MEG Security and SASRIA are hosting a workshop on managing security for large events. This session, held at the Madiba Banquet Hall, is perfect for those wanting to learn more about risk management and handling big crowds. Time: 10:00 – 15:00.
Safety & Security Career Exhibition
On Saturday, 16 November, there’s a career exhibition for young people considering a future in the safety and security industry. Held at the Madiba Banquet Hall from 10:00 to 15:00, this exhibition gives young people the chance to learn about various career opportunities and perhaps even meet potential employers.
Parade & Badging Ceremony
Finally, on Monday, 18 November, there’s the Parade & Badging Ceremony. This event, from 10:00 to 13:00 at the Madiba Banquet Hall, celebrates the achievements and dedication of the MEG Security team.
