The 1st Potchefstroom Brownie Pack is inviting all primary school girls to join their ranks this year. If your child enjoys making things, exploring the outdoors, and learning new skills, then this might be just the thing.
The first meeting kicks off on 24 January at 15:00 at the Methodist Church (across from Habitat). Parents and guardians keen to find out more can WhatsApp Lori at 062 153 6376.

More Than Just a Club
The Girl Guides movement is about more than just crafts and camping. Yes, there will be plenty of that—think knitting, baking, outdoor cooking, and making all sorts of useful (and maybe some questionable) creations. But it’s also about learning life skills, developing independence, and being part of a team.
Girls will get involved in gardening, road safety, nature walks, tracking, first aid, and even picking up a new language or two. The focus is on fun, friendship, and a bit of learning along the way.
Who Can Join?
Teddies: 5 to 7 years
Brownies: 7 to 10 years
Guides: 10 to 14 years
No experience necessary—just a willingness to have a go.
When and Where?
Meetings happen on Fridays from 15:00 to 17:00 at the Methodist Church hall. That’s two hours of hands-on activities, problem-solving, and a fair amount of laughter.
Why Join?
Apart from the chance to learn new skills, Guides is also about teamwork, problem-solving, and having a good time. It’s a space where girls can grow, gain confidence, and make friends. Whether they want to learn survival skills or just have a safe space to be themselves, there’s something for everyone.
No frills, no fuss—just a great opportunity for young girls to be part of something different. See you on 24 January!
