As the chill of winter settles in, Potchefstroom residents are called to action. The N G Weslyn and Mooirivier Mediese Fondse have launched their annual Winter Warmer Drive, aiming to brighten the lives of those less fortunate during the coldest months of the year. This initiative, running until 16 July 2024, seeks donations of blankets, coats, socks, and non-perishable food items.
Why Your Help Matters
Winter can be a particularly harsh season for many in our community, especially for those without the means to stay warm. A simple blanket, a warm coat, or a hot cup of soup can make a world of difference. Your generous donations can help ensure that everyone in our community has the chance to stay warm and healthy.
What to Donate
The Mooirivier Winter Warmer Drive is specifically looking for:
Blankets: To provide much-needed warmth during the cold nights.
Coats: To shield against the winter wind and cold.
Socks: To keep feet warm and dry.
Cup a Soup: To offer a comforting, hot meal.
How to Contribute
Donating is easy and convenient. Simply drop off your unwanted or unused winter items and non-perishable food items at the Mooirivier Mediese Fondse offices located at 11 Walter Sisulu Street, Potchefstroom. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant impact.
Closing Date
Please make sure your donations are in by 16 July 2024. The collected items will be distributed on Nelson Mandela Day, 18 July 2024, spreading warmth and kindness in honor of his legacy.
