Westvaal Holiday Resort
Nestled on the banks of the Vaal River, Westvaal Holiday Resort stands as a testament to almost 50 years of natural beauty, fishing, and family tradition.
Centrally located between Parys, Sasolburg, and Vanderbijlpark, this family-owned resort offers an authentic camping experience and rustic wooden cabins for those seeking convenience amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Vaal River region.
Founded in 1963 by Johan van der Westhuizen, Westvaal began as a dream to transform wild and overgrown land into a unique fishing and campsite experience.
Over the years, Johan's hard work and dedication shaped Westvaal into one of the favorite campsites and fishing spots in the region.
Today, as the second-generation owners, the family continues to share Johan's passion, keeping his legacy alive.

Meet Our Furry Friends
Everyone loves interacting with the friendly farm animals. Purchase animal feed at reception, and the staff will assist you.
Remember, only feed them with provided feed as human food can be harmful. While children can safely feed and pet farm animals, caution is necessary around wild animals like monkeys, which can be aggressive.
Meet Lang-Oor, the friendly donkey, and enjoy feeding her her favorite treats. The colorful chickens roam freely around the resort, adding to the farm's authentic atmosphere.
Children can learn about animal behaviors, compassion, and courage by interacting with our farm animals. This hands-on experience engages their senses and teaches valuable life skills.
